Three Rodale Institute staff members combined their expertise to write "Developments in organic no-till agriculture: The best of both worlds?" as the feature story for the September 2008 issue of ACRES, USA. They the development of their roller-crimper designed to kill an overwintering annual cover crop in a one-pass roll-plant system as a "bridge technology" that makes no-till an option for organic farmers and encourages use of cover crops by conventional no-tillers who usually depend on herbicides for weed management.
