World Bank continues to fund carbon-footprint juggernauts

Despite a pledge to ramp up efforts to encourage and fund green industry in an effort to curb global warming, the World Bank continues to support projects—such as the new Tata Ultra Mega coal-fired power plant in western India. This is according to a report in the business section of Republican American online. Once the plant is operational in 2012, the report states, it will have the dubious distinction of being one of the world’s top fifty greenhouse-gas emitters.
